BALFOUR-LYNN Dr Lionel Peter died peacefully at home on 25th August 2024, aged 96. Sadly missed by his loving wife June, children Alison, Simon and John and Quita/Christine, grandchildren Sophie, James, Martha, Rosa and Etta as well as his close family and many, many friends. He was a special person and loved and respected by all.
CAMBRIDGE Michael Burnett died peacefully on 30th July. Much-loved husband of Felicity, devoted father of Sarah, Helen and Victoria, adored grandfather of Lewis, Elle and Tobey and dear brother of Elizabeth Ann. There will be a celebration of Michael’s life at St Mary’s, Grundisburgh, on Saturday 21st September at 3pm.
CHARGE Ian died on 4th August 2024, aged 78. He was a cherished family man, who will be deeply missed. Ian bravely faced Lewy body dementia, a challenging and often misdiagnosed condition. To support others affected and to aid research, please consider donating to the Lewy Body Society.

LUARD Jane (née Darwin) died peacefully on 17th August 2024 at home. Widow of the late John, beloved mother of Henrietta, Camilla and Philippa and grandmother to eight. Private cremation. A celebration of her life will be held at St James’ Church, Staunton, on 27th September at 2.30pm. No flowers. Donations to Galapagos Conservation Trust.
ROMANES Mary Rosamond (née Beare), wife of the late Ian, died peacefully on Saturday, 17th August at home in her 95th year. Adored mother of Sally, Tizy, Al and Rob, much-loved grandmother of Jo, Laura, Ed, Katy, Susannah, Flora, Clare and Emma and wonderful great-grandmother of Clarita, Eduardo, Alejandra, Charlotte, James, Alexandre, Olympia, Theo, Evie and Alexander.
